Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 15, 2026

The Deals Tracker, LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates thedealstracker.com (the “Site”). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the privacy rights available to visitors, with particular attention to residents of California under the California Consumer Privacy Act (“CCPA”), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act.

The Site is a price-tracking and deals discovery service. We do not require you to create an account or submit personal information to browse the Site.

1. Information We Collect

In the past twelve (12) months we have collected the following categories of personal information:

  • Identifiers and internet activity: IP address, device identifiers, browser type, operating system, referring URLs, pages viewed, links clicked, and timestamps, collected automatically when you use the Site.
  • Approximate geolocation: derived from IP address (country / region level), used for traffic analysis and access control.
  • Communications you send us: if you email us, we receive your email address and the contents of your message.

We do not knowingly collect Social Security numbers, driver’s license numbers, financial account numbers, precise geolocation, biometric data, or other categories of sensitive personal information defined under the CCPA.

2. Sources of Information

We collect information directly from your browser when you visit the Site, and from third-party analytics providers (described below) acting on our behalf.

3. How We Use Information

  • To operate, maintain, and secure the Site.
  • To measure traffic, understand usage patterns, and improve content and features.
  • To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and technical issues.
  • To respond to inquiries you send us by email.
  • To comply with legal obligations.

4. How We Share Information

We share personal information only with the following categories of recipients:

  • Service providers that host the Site, deliver content, and provide analytics — including Google LLC (Google Analytics).
  • Affiliate networks and merchants, primarily the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program. When you click an outbound deal link, the destination merchant may collect information about your visit under their own privacy policy.
  • Authorities and other parties when required by law, to enforce our Terms, or to protect rights, safety, or property.

We do not sell personal information for monetary consideration. However, the use of third-party analytics and advertising cookies may qualify as “sharing” or a “sale” under the CCPA’s broad definitions. You can opt out at any time — see Section 7.

5. Cookies and Similar Technologies

We and our service providers use cookies and similar technologies to recognize your browser, remember your preferences, and measure how the Site is used. The Site uses Google Analytics, which sets cookies to collect usage data. Analytics and advertising cookies are disabled by default until you accept them via our cookie banner. You can change your choice at any time using the “Your Privacy Choices” link in the Site footer.

Most browsers also let you block or delete cookies through their settings.

6. Data Retention

We retain log and analytics data for as long as needed to fulfill the purposes described above, typically no longer than 26 months for analytics records, and longer where required for legal, accounting, or security purposes. Email correspondence is retained as long as needed to respond to and document the inquiry.

7. Your California Privacy Rights

If you are a California resident, the CCPA grants you the following rights, subject to certain exceptions:

  • Right to Know what personal information we have collected about you, the sources, the purposes, and the categories of recipients with whom we share it.
  • Right to Delete personal information we have collected from you.
  • Right to Correct inaccurate personal information we maintain about you.
  • Right to Opt Out of the sale or sharing of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
  • Right to Limit the use of sensitive personal information (we do not knowingly collect any).
  • Right to Non-Discrimination for exercising any of these rights.

To exercise these rights, email us at contactus@thedealstracker.com with the subject line “CCPA Request.” We will need to verify your request, typically by confirming the email address you submit it from. An authorized agent may submit a request on your behalf with written proof of authorization.

To opt out of cookie-based sharing for analytics or advertising, use the Your Privacy Choices link in the Site footer to reopen the cookie banner and select “Reject.”

8. Children’s Privacy

The Site is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be posted on this page.
